The Studio

You thought your team could adopt AI on its own.

Not on its own.

You thought you needed a strategy.
You probably need more than that.

Deployment has to be safe. People have to know what to do with it. The numbers have to make sense. And eventually somebody has to design and build the thing.

Welcome to The Studio.

We train. We advise. We design. We build.

We make AI useful.

Sometimes that means AI.

Sometimes it means fixing the product, the data, the process or the decision around it first.

We care more about getting the business right than selling you the technology.

What we do

1 · Thinking

Before anyone starts building.

We work out what is worth doing, what isn’t, and what needs to be true before money gets spent.

That can mean understanding where AI belongs, redesigning how a decision gets made, deciding whether to build or buy, or helping a team understand what the technology can realistically do.

6 · Product

Turn the useful idea into something people actually want to use.

We design the product, the experience and the intelligence behind it.

That can include pricing and decision systems, internal tools, AI products, agents, analytics and new ways for customers or teams to interact with the business.

The interface matters as much as the engine.

17 · Engineering & adoption

Put it into the business.

We build, integrate, test and get the product ready for everyday use.

Then we help the people using it understand it, run it and keep improving it.

The aim is not to leave you permanently dependent on us.

How we work

1 · 1 · 2 · 3 · 5

The numbers matter less than the sequence.

  1. 1

    Listen

Understand the business, the people, the data and the things getting in the way.

No generic discovery deck. We want to know how the work actually happens.

  2. 1

    Frame

Choose the problem worth solving first.

Define what has to change and how we’ll know whether it worked.

  3. 2

    Test

Put something real in front of real people early.

An idea becomes much easier to judge once somebody has to use it.

  4. 3

    Build

Design and engineer the working product around the reality we learned from.

  5. 5

    Put it to work

Integrate it, train people, support the change and make sure ownership moves into the business.

Then we decide what deserves attention next.

What that looks like

Pricing when nothing stands still.

A luxury retailer needed pricing to work across consumer and wholesale channels, markets and business models.

We designed the product thinking, pricing logic and system architecture behind those decisions, connecting pricing to the wider business rather than treating it as a separate calculation.

See the work

A good business does not need to become an AI company.

The House Directory already has something people value.

Our job is to understand what should remain exactly as it is, where the business is carrying unnecessary work, what technology can improve and where AI has no business being involved.

The work spans the future proposition, technology and AI audit, and the roadmap for what comes next.

One thing you should know

We will tell you when AI isn’t the answer.

Sometimes a better workflow is enough.

Sometimes the data isn’t ready.

Sometimes the old system should stay.

Sometimes AI is exactly what is missing.

You should know which one before you start paying people to build it.

Want to talk through a problem?

You don’t need a polished brief.

Tell us what is difficult, slow, expensive or making everybody slightly mad.

We’ll start there.
